Her Hindi Film 'Yeh Toh Two Much Ho Gaya' is one of the 3 main female leads opposite Murli Sharma & Jimmy Shergill released in 2016. Also, her Short-Film 'The Tightrope Walker' was Selected at Venice Film Festival in the best 10 Films in the Short-Film category where she played the main title lead.
Maushmi's art house feature film Parakashtha will soon release on an OTT Platform where she plays the solo female lead of a classical dancer & teaches little children how to dance Bharatnatyam. It’s an emotional family drama directed by famous scriptwriter Jagmohan Kapoor. We asked Maushmi about any interesting incident she remembers in recent times that took place on her shooting sets:
She says, When you see her hot shoots you feel wow what chemistry she shares with her co-model or co-actor but, to be frank, the reality is very different, at the time of shoot it’s so mechanical & we are only thinking about the correct angles in front of the camera which will make the bodies & the body language look most artistic, natural & sensual, keeping the right expressions on the face even though we are the most uncomfortable at that moment. Sometimes we are put in a cold swimming pool in winters & sometimes there is zero chemistry between us but at these times music really helps to go with the flow & to get the correct expressions & mood. Most of the time the male actor opposite her is either married or gay & their partners are on the set, so they too are conscious of the hot steamy scenes. So in real life, it’s not at all what it looks like on-screen & we actors are very good at making all situations very natural looking & that’s when good acting skills count.
Let’s get to know what keeps Maushmi busy apart from modelling & acting:
She says, Apart from her 1st love of acting & then modelling, she keeps shooting & editing her Bold Creative Content, sitting at home & many of her online Friends, Fans keep buying her content, so she enjoys this process & money is good too so it’s all worth it she feels. She also does many video chats with her Fans, online friends who pay her & are keen on having a nice friendly conversation with her, & are interested in knowing her as a person & who love watching her hot dance so it’s like partying with her virtually & chilling online & getting paid for her time that she gives each one of them individually. It’s very exciting for her too to interact with many different guys from different walks of life. She also is very creative & mix-matches, styles & designs her own clothes & 99% it’s her personal collection which is used in the shoots that she does as a model & actress so yes, she is a producer’s actor who saves her money by doing her own costumes & makeup since years now & she loves doing that.
How’s Maushmi as a person:
She says: I am quite an introvert, and she is not very comfortable in personal interactions in big groups. Have very few selected friends. Love her parents & siblings. Complete Workaholic! always busy with creative work that helps her make money. Love watching movies & listening to music & love good food too as she is a big foodie & how can she forget shopping which has become online for her since the lockdown & now she can’t even think of going shop to shop to buy stuff online shopping saves time, energy, money & plus you can try & decide all in the comfort of your own house.
Maushmi's Philosophy of Life & Enemies:
She says: Keep working hard & do your best & leave the rest to God. People who do bad to us will go through much more shit mostly in this life itself & she has seen their downfall & death happen too, so she is pretty chilled out about her enemies because somehow most of them have not survived with the bad that they have done to her & others. May their souls rest in hell she believes in the power of God & she has seen that he does justice always, sooner or later.
What kind of man fascinates Maushmi, her dream man?
She says: Oh she is too demanding as far as the man in her life is concerned. She needs a good-looking tall man with a great fit body, who is well spoken, who makes her feel comfortable, respects her, loves her & understands her passion for her work & of course he has to be decently rich because otherwise basic luxuries even she own & can afford in life. It’s not easy for her to get into a relationship after staying single for so long because have gotten used to living her life in a certain way & she never goes out of her way to date anybody unless it happens as a natural process with work.
When we asked Maushmi don’t her parents force her to get married & this is what she has to say:
Oh yes, all the time but she tells them when she finds her Mr. Right she will do it immediately, but they also know that she is too demanding so waiting for the best to still come in her life or very happy single & too busy to even think of marriage, to be frank. She rather stays with her parents & takes care of them as they are getting old, apart from being busy with her work. They know her & her happiness matter the most to them so now they understand & are pretty chilled out about it.
