In the early years of her career, she was engrossed with the mysteries of Excel and complex formulas, primarily because she had limited knowledge beyond that. The struggle was indeed real, and she was deeply immersed in her work when an opportunity call buzzed her phone. It was a call from a recruiter who was pitching a job opening for a company. The recruiter's pitch was as smooth as silk, and after some consideration, she agreed to appear for an interview, despite knowing very little about IT hiring. That decision turned out to be pivotal, shaping both her career and personality in the years that followed.
She joined the company, which was not widely recognized at the time, as a recruiter. Her role involved hiring desirable candidates for various job positions. For each hiring call, she had to brief the candidates about the company, its products, values, and employee strength. As time passed, her team grew, and the company transformed into a major brand, expanding geographically and tasting success from India to overseas. However, her affection for her role and team remained constant, possibly because she gained a lot from them and had a stable life at home.
When she made recruiting calls, all she had to do was mention the organization's name, and candidates would instantly recognize it. Establishing themselves as a well-known brand made the recruiting process much easier. The once lesser-known name had evolved into a powerful brand, and their journey was marked by remarkable growth, continuously moving onward and upward. They expanded by leaps and bounds, to the point where she found it challenging to recall every face, a far cry from the early years when the team was small
Looking ahead, she decided to leave the company for career growth. The next role she took on was extremely challenging, as it required learning a new culture, processes, and a different industry altogether. However, she always trusted the process, and each day brought a fresh learning experience, pushing her to improve continuously. During a meeting with her new team, they asked about her previous stints, and she felt joy and pride when her new colleagues referred to their biggest and sweetest client as the company - That lesser-known brand had now blossomed into a household name, a testament to the unrelenting dedication and hard work of those who had journeyed alongside her. Yes, her old organisation with IT hiring.
In the quest for personal and professional growth, she learned a fundamental truth: to reach new heights, one must willingly step out of their comfort zone and embrace the unknown. Not only did she embrace this philosophy, but the organization also experimented with new markets, products, and acquisitions for their growth, and they both grew together. She was grateful for the opportunity and the leap of faith she took, which not only helped her learn and upskill but also taught her that listening to her inner compass would lead her on an enticing journey.
Many may have read stories about building a brand, but for her, she lived that brand, and it shaped her as a professional. She expressed profound gratitude from the bottom of her heart for how her career had shaped up. Even though she parted ways with the company some years ago, she still felt that the brand was in her DNA, and she cherished that connection, much like watching her child grow into a beautiful human being.
