Be Relevant! | Ann D'Silva

We live in the times of "The FAST & FURIOUS".

With dynamics constantly changing its only a matter of time before you are faced with the question "Are you relevant?"

To "Be Relevant" we need to respect the clock "Time" we have to find a way to make ourselves be heard, to be noticed, hence "Message" and we have to appeal to someone/many; a target group, therefore "Space". It's no longer one sheet for all; everything around us has a local connect, despite being global and rightly so.

Therefore the call to adapt, to stir up the strength to listen has become imperative. Truly listening takes strength and great will power in our times of cacophony  - everyone is always talking, everywhere. The beginning is to "Listen"

"Time" is a maker and a breaker, that we have all heard but what follows is more significant, what results in a make or break?

Going with the flow of changing trends around us is always a challenge, like all new things it takes adjustment but if we can adapt and learn from the lessons that come our way, we can course correct any obstacle into a rewarding challenge or even a success story, as long as we dwell in the glory of the present, not in cravings of the past or illusions of the an unmade future, that is the most effective option to ride change and run along with it.

Nothing can break us if we look at failures as challenges or as opportunities in the waiting. The attitude and approach is what matters to make or break anything/ anyone.

The next big one is the "Message" in a time of plagiarism or simply known as free content for forwards, the message is important so that one can get noticed, so that there is something to distinguish, something to touch, something to strike a note with; a face to a message, irrelevant of it being a person or a brand. What's your story? How is it different? The message matters and usually the simpler it is, the more original it feels, as long as it can be communicated clearly. You got something to say, "Keep it simple, state it clearly"

Last but not the least is "Space" who is your target audience. There are groups, sects, gangs for every cause or connection sought everywhere, its about finding yours.

Who are they?

You cant sell razors to babies, nor tampons to men but you can sell sanitary towels as adult diapers to men. Knowing what you have to offer and who your audience is most important than wasting a great message barking up the wrong tree. Visualize this, a 100% rich cows milk products being marketed to a database of Vegans; what a waste. Great product, wrong group. No product is a failure, like no person is a failure its all about being in the wrong place or sending out a wrong message or simply being unable to course correct/adapt. If one can get these three aspects right, a sure shot winner is in the house.

Find your connect, simply connect to grow and be mutually beneficial to all.

A quick recap:

Time : Adapt, Learn, Course Correct, Celebrate the Present

Message : Simple & Clear

Space: Constantly Changing, know you audience.

Don't think out of the box, simply think like there is "NO BOX"

Imagine, Invent, Innovate.

Change is best enjoyed when it is embraced, so are challenges, what is life without a few scary goals, a few impossible rides, a few tears and loads of laughter.

As long as we are alive; A Live we are. Change is a salutation to life.

Be Relevant!

PS: So whose telling your brand story?
