Meet Sudha Chandran, This Indian actress and classical dancer needs no introduction. Sudha Chandran is an Indian film and television actress and an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer. Born in Kerala, this 51-year-old artist met with an accident when she was just 16.


In June 1981, she lost a leg due to gangrene following a road accident near Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu while coming back from Madras with her parents.


She overcame her disability by getting a prosthetic “Jaipur Foot” and became one of the most popular and acclaimed classical dancers of the country.


Having performed Bharatnatyam internationally, Chandran has also been a known figure in the Indian television and film industry.


Chandran is known for her roles of Ramola Sikand in Kaahin Kissii Roz, Anky ka Dada /Yamini in Naagin, Chitradevi in Deivam Thandha Veedu, the Tamil remake of Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Anand's first wife in Hum Paanch (Season two).
