Thanks for being patient with my blog... for more than a year, you are awesome, you stayed here, and you gave me the space I needed, I am blessed to have you. As now we are here, let's not talk about just anything, instead we will focus on what we need to keep going... You guessed it right- HEALING! You are smart, I like you! In the quiet moments of life, we often find ourselves at the intersection of vulnerability and strength. Recently, I stood at that crossroads and made a profound commitment encapsulated by a symbolic ring on my finger.
"I said yes to healing, growth, and peace," I declared, acknowledging the challenges of the present but also the wounds of the past. Two years back I got out of an abusive marriage, and I was wounded deeply. Every single part of my body was hurting so badly that I had a lot of struggles in everyday life. One moment I was feeling free from fear of violence and abuse, the next moment I was dying of grief. I believe it's part of healing, ups and downs.
From time to time, I managed to stay out of the hospital, worked on my mental and physical health, improved my lifestyle, and created a support system but still somewhere in my heart I was holding something I was not ready to let out. In this time when I was away from official blogging, I spent a lot of my time journaling, in support groups, and reflecting so I could finally release myself from the past holding me. Let me share a part of my life, I was married to the same person more than four times because of different reasons.
We were married for almost 12 years, and he never gave me a token of marriage like a ring or a "Mangal sutra". Instead, on the day of the divorce, he showed a receipt of an online purchase in court.
The judge was confused but not blind, she asked him about that, and he said that he loved me, so he ordered it. Everyone on the case was like really, at the time of divorce, after this many years. It was not like we didn't have the money; he was just not interested in getting me anything.
So finally, I got myself this ring. This symbolic ring holds a special significance to me, representing a woe to heal from a broken heart and the scars of abuse. It is a testament to the resilience within, a promise to mend the fractures caused by pain and betrayal.
Embracing the healing journey involves confronting the shadows of the past, allowing the light of self-love to illuminate the way forward. Growth, in the context of this commitment, takes on a nuanced meaning. For me, it is not merely about personal development but a deliberate effort to break free from the shackles of past traumas.
The ring becomes a beacon of transformation, guiding me through the process of becoming stronger, wiser, and more compassionate in the face of adversity. The decision to prioritize peace is especially poignant in the aftermath of heartbreak and abuse. The symbolic ring serves as a reminder that tranquility is not only a goal but a necessity for personal well-being.
It becomes a protective shield against the chaos that external circumstances may bring, fostering a sanctuary of peace within the soul. As I navigate this intricate journey of healing, growth, and peace, the ring becomes a Talisman of resilience.
It symbolizes the strength to overcome, the courage to confront pain, and the wisdom to embrace a future filled with hope. This commitment extends an invitation to others who have walked similar paths, a call to join in the collective journey of healing and transformation.
As I focus on important goals for my children and myself, I am reminded of my dedication to my purpose and the work I do. If a man enters my life one day, he must be worthy enough to replace this ring. He must understand the significance of this ring- the embodiment of my perseverance, passion, and unwavering resolve.
He must be prepared to honor and complement the values and aspirations that it represents, standing beside me as a partner worthy of sharing in the joys and challenges that lie ahead. So, here's to saying "yes" to healing from a broken heart and the shadows of abuse- a journey marked by a symbolic ring on the finger. May it stand as a testament to the indomitable spirit within us all, a reminder that through resilience and self-love, we can craft a narrative of triumph over adversity.
