“Have the courage to do something, let your fear go, and See your destination coming to your sands " (Hasfa Rashid)
Since childhood, I have been an average student in school but I always ran after knowledge because for me marks matter. My name is Hasfa Rashid and I have done my schooling till the 10th at City Central Educational Institute, Khanyar Srinagar. Then I pursued my high education in the Arts stream at Green Land Educational Society, Hawal.
At present, I am pursuing Ballb in the Law field from Kashmir Law College. I became a published Author at the age of 19. I have authored the book "Ink and Paper "(let the word speak). The book is all about the poems and each poem serves a different view of love, struggle, pain, etc. In this book, I have written 15 English poems and 17 Hinglish poems which are 32 poems in total.
I don't have any connection with any writer or author and I never learned writing from some experienced person in this field. I taught myself how to improve in this field of writing with so many mistakes. I am an introverted person and I was afraid to show my writing to anyone. The day I showed one of the poems about "one-sided love” people began to criticize me, many of them taunted me, and people called me many wired names I was disheartened and never showed again my poems to people.
After some time, I participated in a writing competition and became the ist position holder. This motivated me again to show up talent. And on this day I decided not to stop anything and promised myself to move on, it was never easy to do but I tried my best. After a long phase, I worked as a co-author, and my first book as a co-author is "Being an Advocate”. This made me more confident and motivated and the people around me were surprised to know this, as I did it alone with my hard work, passion, and love for writing.
I people around me were amazed and they were appreciating my success. On this day, I understood people always have something to tell you whether you are doing it or not doing anything. Moving on with this I got the "Top 10 Authors of India " organized by the Life World community. And I was featured on the internet like Dailyhunt and Opera News. And I am the first in my family or relatives who have achieved this success. Becoming an Author, not only made me confident but also gave me a voice to speak up.
I have been so blessed, that the Almighty gave my pen so much power that I can achieve everything, which I always dreamed of in my life. I always thought to do something creative and different and today when I think about it, this gives me happiness and peace. I have recently been selected for Rabindranath Tagore Literature Award. I will always move on with new experiences in life and I will be giving my best in the writing field.
I can't thank the Almighty for making me a blessed child. From day one, I tried to do everything for my passion, and with the help of the Almighty, I will do more and more. For me, it is not the end but the beginning phase of the journey of evolving as an author.
