Hello, I am Ramesh Sadhusharan Mishra a para basketball player from India. I am a physically handicapped person since childhood. And then too, my mother says I was very naughty in my childhood and always used to harass everyone.
At the age of two and a half or three years, my daily routine was like every little child, but my mother says that every evening I used to insist my father take me with him to the lump of coal. My father was aware of my stubborn nature, he took loads of coal on his head, and I used to hold his finger from the shop to Girgaum Chowpatty which was about 2 to 3 kilometers.
One day in the morning I refused to lift my leg as if I had become powerless, my mom says. My neighbor was a doctor who referred me to Kasturba Hospital which is a very well-known hospital. My family admitted me there and the doctors had given me 20 injections for 20 consecutive days, my condition worsened, instead of one leg, both legs refused to walk.
The people of the hospital removed me from the hospital on the 21st day and asked my parents to take me home without talking about his fetish, my mother and father came home helplessly but I knocked on every hospital in Mumbai. In the belief that one day I will be standing on my own feet, in this hope, along with science, the temple, mosque, gurudwara, and church, were knocked down, even at the behest of the people, but something else was acceptable to happen.
One day while I was on my way to the hospital with my mom and dad, a taxi driver told my dad that there is a cure for this and it is close to our house, dad used to say that there was a gleam in mom's eyes, we changed the way and the taxi driver suggested the hospital.
Where mom and dad came to know that I was diagnosed with a disease called polio, and it would be cured by operation. I want to say that I was born in the famous Bhatia Hospital in South Mumbai, where I had taken 2 doses of polio, it was time for the third dose, in the meantime, it was a disease called polio, which had taken the form of an epidemic. I had contracted the disease.
Polio:
This disease attacks the nerves of the person and makes him disabled. Now it was on the spine above both my legs but after about 2 years of treatment and exercise the doctors made me stand on two calipers and two crutches, now I appeared in some strange form in front of my mother. My mother started crying while restraining her fantasies, embracing me while adopting me in that state.
Education:
Now at this stage, it was very difficult to get an education at that time, all my brothers studied in an English private school, but for me the school imposed a ban on seeing my condition and suggested a special school, my family was ignorant of the right to education and I didn't want to see the lifeless, that's why I got admission in a special school where I studied till class VII, then there was a hindrance, what next, but where there is a path, there is a desire, in this passion, I graduated from Open University.
Since 2015, I am associated and constantly associated with Para Sports. Participated in National Wheelchair Basketball in 2017-2018 where I got a chance from Gujarat our team will be 1/2 out in the qualifying round but I got to learn a lot and got opportunities to improve my game.

Gold Medal 2015- 2016 Para Bench Press Weightlifting (Bharatlifting)
Earned a medal every year by participating in the competition from 2015 to 2019 in the District Para Bench Press Weightlifting (Bharatolan) organized by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
Gold Medal in district-level Arm Wrestling.
Mumbai Marathon in 2018 with 1.7 K.M. completed the race with the help of crutches.
