Mr. Manoj Parmar (aged 32 years) S/o Mr. Sukhbir Singh, resident of Village Majri Gordhanpur, District Haridwar who is diagnosed with 70 per cent Orthopedic Disability.
Despite this, education from class 1st to 12th was obtained from Khanpur, 10 km away from the village and graduated from Government Degree College Laksar. In the Uttarakhand State Khol Mahakumbh 2019 he got first place in spear throw competition.
Manoj has also participated in the Constitution Cup 2019 organized by Wheelchair Cricket Association in Nagpur. He has also participated in various events and competitions including the shell competition organized in 19th National Para Athletics Championship 2021 in Bangalore.
Manoj never let his disability come in the way of athletics in his life by participating in various competitions and games. Manoj Parmar has secured the first position from the youth welfare department and the first provincial guard team in the entire state by throwing the javelin.
He has got the first position in the cricket state since childhood. And while participating in other sports, the youth welfare department is coming and Brijesh Kumar Sant, the Director of the Provincial Guard, on the strength of his willpower, has honored him with a nationally handicapped certificate.
Manoj was also honored by the State-Level Disabled Award by the government of Uttarakhand, Social Welfare Department on the occasion of World Disabled Day, December 03, 2021, in Dara district Haridwar. On his return to Khanpar on Saturday, the people of the area welcomed him with flower garlands.
Manoj has participated in the “Doon Monsoon 10K Run” and secured the first position in this wheelchair run marathon and is making his parents proud by working hard and securing highest marks in his life.
